1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily

The App does not require you to create an account or provide your name or contact information in order to take quizzes.

If you choose to participate in the public leaderboard, you may voluntarily provide:

  • a display name;
  • a Public URL, such as a personal website, portfolio, professional profile, or another URL you choose to provide;
  • your quiz result and related quiz performance information.

Providing a name and Public URL is optional.

If you submit information for the leaderboard, the submitted information and your quiz performance may be stored on our servers and displayed publicly in the leaderboard.

You should only submit a Public URL that you are comfortable making publicly accessible.

1.2 Quiz and Application Data

The App may process information related to your use of quizzes, including:

  • quiz answers;
  • number of questions;
  • quiz score;
  • quiz completion time;
  • category or topic results;
  • application usage events.

Some information may be stored locally on your device and some information may be transmitted to and stored on our servers.

1.3 Analytics Data

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how users interact with the App and to improve functionality, usability, and performance.

Analytics information may include information about application usage, events, sessions, device and application characteristics, and identifiers generated by Google or Firebase.

Firebase services may generate per-installation identifiers and collect technical information required to provide analytics and related services. Google states that Firebase SDK data is transmitted using encrypted connections.

  • improve quizzes and user experience;

2. Advertising and Personalized Ads

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

3. Google Play Install Referrer

The App uses the Google Play Install Referrer API to measure application installation sources and marketing attribution.

The Install Referrer API may provide information such as:

  • information identifying the source or campaign associated with an installation;
  • referral click timestamps;
  • installation timestamps;
  • application version information related to the initial installation.

Google Play's Install Referrer API provides referral and installation attribution information directly to the installed application.

Participation in the leaderboard is optional.

If you choose to submit your information to the leaderboard, information including your selected display name, Public URL, and quiz-related results may become publicly available.

Public leaderboard information may be accessible to other users of the App and through related web services.

Do not enter private or sensitive information in your display name or Public URL.

6. Local and Server Storage

The App stores certain information locally on your Android device.

Information required for server-based features, including leaderboard functionality, may also be transmitted to and stored on servers operated by us or by our service providers.

Local application data may remain on your device until it is deleted by the App, cleared through Android settings, or removed when the App is uninstalled.

Server-side information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant functionality, maintain the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and protect our legitimate interests.

You may request deletion of personal information associated with a leaderboard submission by contacting us.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including:

  • Google Firebase;
  • Google Analytics for Firebase;
  • Google AdMob;
  • Google Play Install Referrer;
  • Google Play services.

These services may collect and process information independently according to their own terms, privacy policies, SDK configurations, consent status, and applicable law.

We do not control all data processing performed independently by Google or other advertising technology providers.

Service Providers

This includes Google services used for analytics, advertising, installation attribution, and application infrastructure.

Public Leaderboard

If you voluntarily submit information to the leaderboard, selected leaderboard information is intentionally made public.

  • enforce our rights;
  • investigate fraud or abuse;
  • protect the security of the App;
  • protect users, the public, or our legal interests.

9. International Data Processing

Some third-party service providers, including Google, operate infrastructure in multiple countries.

As a result, information processed by these services may be processed outside the country in which you live.

Where required, such processing is subject to applicable data-protection requirements and safeguards provided by the relevant service provider.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by the App and our servers.

Third-party services may also implement their own security measures. For example, Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Firebase Android SDKs is encrypted in transit.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information.

  • request deletion of personal information;

Withdrawing or refusing consent does not prevent use of the App, although the types of advertisements shown and the way advertising is measured or personalized may change.

Users may also manage advertising-related settings through their Android device and Google account, including controls related to advertising personalization and advertising identifiers.

13. Children's Privacy

The App is designed as an educational and professional tool for learning web-development topics and preparing for technical interviews.

We do not knowingly request children to submit personal information to a public leaderboard.

Advertising and data-processing restrictions applicable to minors may vary by country and are also subject to Google Play and Google advertising requirements.
